Tanker golden age set to run until 2027, says BRS

BRS’ latest Tanker Weekly Newsletter assessed where the main shipping segments are on the cycle and concluded that ‘tankers are firmly on the upslope with the distance they are determined by segment with the Aframaxes and Suezmaxes leading the way followed by the LRs and then the MRs with the VLCCs bring up the rear for now’.

‘Despite recent lower rates, we continue to project that tanker markets remain on the cusp of a golden age, which considering delivery lead times could persist until 2027’ BRS said.
